上善若水,水善利万物又不争.处众人之所恶①,故几于道.

上等的善良好像水一样.水柔和善良,有利于万物生存.常处在众生激烈争夺的地方,而又不与万物相杭争,所以,它几乎接近于“道”.
为人要居于谦虚的位置,心胸要善于涵养,处世要善良仁慈,讲话要善意真诚,受人信任.国家的政务,要善于调整和治理.事情要善于去做,行动要善于掌握时机.一个人只有不违反自然规律的发展,不固执已见,不胡作非为,就不会产生忧虑.
