如果用在比较正规的书面语中,这句话应该写成：To whom did you give the book? 这是因为正式的书面文字中一般不把介词放在最后.但在口语中,几乎没人会说 To whom/who did you give the book? 而一般都是问 Who did you give the book to? 这听起来就流畅多了.偶尔也会听到 Whom did you give the book to? 但不是很常见.
